Help DC Youth Succeed - Become a Volunteer ESL/GED Tutor at Next Step Public Charter School!
The Next Step Public Charter School is currently looking for volunteers who would like to use their skills and experience to help our students - and community - succeed!
By becoming a volunteer tutor at Next Step PCS, you’ll be providing academic support to our GED & ESL track students as they work to improve core literacy, reading/writing, science, social studies and math skills (in either English or Spanish) as well as ESL/English language skills.
Volunteer tutors play a critical role in helping our students succeed, helping them to overcome both personal and academic challenges; the support provided by volunteers oftentimes helps our students realize their full potential and shows them that others also care about their successes.
Volunteer tutors may serve one or more times a week in either our day or evening program.
The Following Volunteering Opportunities Are Available at Next Step PCS:
- English Language Leaner Student Mentor/Tutor
- GED Student Mentor/Tutor
